THE BOOK OF EVERYTHING

9-year-old Thomas, who dreams of happiness, has a cruel and harsh father, a rude but humorous older sister and a kind and fearful mother. Thomas prays endlessly for God to punish his father for hitting his mother. He finds joy in meeting the colourful lady next door and the lovely Eliza, who has moved in nearby. When the priest preaches about the proud Pharaoh, Thomas equates his tyrannical father with the hardened Pharaoh. The boy decides that inflicting biblical plagues is the only way to make his father understand the injustice of his actions.
